Brian Riseley
Brian RiseleyCoach
Brian has been fencing since the late 80’s and started coaching in the 90’s. He has coached 1000’s of children and adults over the years. Working for clubs, scout groups, schools, county councils and his own private elite group, Brian is most proud of helping to coach his son, David, to the highest level.

More recently Brian has coached a number of young people to compete nationally and internationally including those who have gone on to become part of the GB squat.

Brian Robinson

Brian was a prolific fencer from a very early age – starting at 11. By 18 his main weapon was the sabre and he went on to represent NI at many Senior Nations and Commonwealth Fencing Championships He has held the title of Irish Sabre Champion many times.

Since 2002 – when he pioneered the use of foam and plastic swords and plastic masks for Prep Training – his coaching has reached thousands of children and helped produce national champions across a variety of age groups.

Kate Smith
Kate SmithCoach
Kate started fencing in 1966. She is a former British Champion and GBR team member, four times British Veteran’s Champion, twice Veteran World Champion silver-medalist, once bronze medalist.

Kate has been a fencing instructor since 2000 and is a British Fencing Level 3 coach. At King’s Swords Fencing Club she coaches our beginner and improver/advanced Epee classes.

Marion Nemitz
Marion NemitzCoach
Marion is a student of former Olympic coach Tomek Walicki, and continues to work closely with him.

Marion is a fully qualified British Fencing level 2 coach, and teaches at many schools and clubs across London.
With an uncommon dedication to the sport and her students, she teaches in an uplifting manner with great passion and patience.

At King’s Sword Fencing Club she coaches our Prep, Intermediate and Advanced classes.

Sanjeev is the Chairman of KSFC. In his younger days, Sanjeev was the Captain of Fencing for both King’s College School and Essex University. He has fenced internationally and current volunteers as an assistant coach at the Club.

An accomplished epee fencer in her own right, Georgina assists with voluntary coaching when her other duties permit.

She advises the Committee on many fencing and club related issues.
